Making A Commitment

We offer some recommendations to help you get the most out of therapy.
1/6
Commit to your sessions, be they weekly, or fortnightly. It's important to be consistent, create momentum, and facilitate your process by being actively committed to therapy.
2/6
This is time for exploration of parts of you and your life you might not want to face. Don't be afraid to be vulnerable in this space; as Freud said, "Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength".
3/6
When therapy is feeling difficult, which at times it should, it is likely because you are confronting something potentially useful and worth understanding. Remember, your therapist is there to help you manage and work through any challenging feelings.
4/6
It is important to reflect on the work you do in therapy, and bring your thoughts and insights to the next session. Journaling after sessions can benefit with this.
5/6
Be actively engaged, this is YOUR time. Don't be afraid to be open and honest, about yourself, your therapist, the therapy, anything that is relevant. Your therapist will not be offended, and will be honoured by your openness, seeing it as a possible indication of the depth of the therapeutic relationship.
6/6
If you are thinking about ending therapy, for whatever reason, do speak with your therapist. Your therapist will not be offended. They may agree or disagree, sharing their reasons why. Ultimately, they will respect your choice and plan 'the ending'. Clients often find a planned ending helpful because it entails a review of the work, and some learnings to take forward, so don't miss the opportunity to end therapy - you can always return.

Some Benefits Of Private Therapy At Phinity

1/3

Avoid Long Waiting Times

Some people that could benefit from therapy are put off by long NHS waiting lists, the limited number of sessions offered, models of therapy available, and the quality of an overstretched service, in which practitioners themselves may be feeling the effects of burnout. Phinity does not have any of these limitations.

2/3

Therapeutic Care, Designed Around You

Phinity Therapy believe so strongly in mental healthcare, wellbeing, and the actualising potential of the human spirit, that everything we do is motivated by this belief. Time and again, we have witnessed the recovery, growth, transformation, and ‘becoming’ of individuals. This honours and inspires us, and reinforces our belief in why we do what we do: care. This is why, with Phinity, you will experience a consistent service, from the very first free consultation, through treatment, toward your goals.

3/3

Uncompromising Standards

We are not constrained by budgets, and we do not think small. Whatever your issue is, we will aim to help, even if this means sourcing a specific kind of Practitioner to meet your particular therapeutic requirements.
