Phinity Therapy is a private psychotherapy and counselling clinic in Birmingham, offering thoughtful, integrative support for adults, children, couples, families, and professionals.
From our calm space on Hagley Road and through online therapy, we help you make sense of where you are, and move towards where you want to be.
Our Birmingham therapists bring strong clinical training, professional accreditation, and a genuine commitment to staying informed by current psychological thinking and research.
We see you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms. Your therapy may explore your emotions, relationships, body, habits, history, lifestyle, and hopes for the future, with optional wellbeing guidance where this may support your mental health.
Our therapy rooms in Birmingham have been chosen with care, privacy, and comfort in mind. The aim is simple: to offer a space where you can breathe, speak honestly, and begin to feel less alone with what you carry.
Therapy should fit the person, not the other way round. We draw from a range of therapeutic approaches so your care can be thoughtful, flexible, and centred around you.

For people seeking inner peace, self-understanding, and emotional freedom, Phinity Therapy offers a thoughtful path towards growth and change.
As a private therapy clinic in Birmingham, we are part of a wider movement towards mental health care that feels more human, more personal, and more responsive to the people it serves. What sets Phinity apart is our commitment to holistic, personalised care. We bring together psychological expertise, integrative therapy, and genuine human connection, so your therapy can be shaped around you — not squeezed into a rigid model.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, or a sense of feeling stuck, we will work with you carefully and collaboratively — helping you move towards a more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling life.

Therapy offers a unique kind of space. It is a safe space in which you can speak with someone who is impartial, who will not judge you, who offers empathy and can help guide you by listening to what is said and what is unsaid. Clients often report just being able to talk and say things our loud as being helpful for processing and understanding.
Therapy however can go beyond this, it can facilitate the courage to explore areas that may otherwise feel threatening, but these can be the very areas that require confrontation because they may be influencing patterns of behaviour that you wish to change. So, in short, therapy can be a liberating experience, it can help you to feel safe enough to work through feelings and lead to insights and learning about yourself, and why you feel as you feel, and do as you do. This can lead to self-awareness, and choice, with the help of your therapist you can learn new ways, this may involve psychological strategies. In this way, therapy can have far reaching effect, improving your experience of your sense of self, your relationships, and your life and world.
People are sometimes advised by people they know that therapy may benefit. They may be struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, or a ‘disorder’. Or it might be because you are feeling stuck in life, or apathetic about it. You may also be struggling with something that has happened, for example, the breakdown of a relationship, or death. Or it could be that you are finding it difficult to cope with trauma. Another reason people might choose therapy is to understand themselves better, for self-improvement.
There are many reasons why someone might decide to seek therapy. Essentially, if you are feeling that you could benefit from healing, growth, or change in your life, therapy may be the best decision you make.
The therapeutic contract is our contract with you and outlines the agreement between you ‘the Client’ and Phinity Therapy. It does not obligate you to therapy, rather it clarifies what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you over the course of treatment, as well as our professional services and business policies. By signing the document, or attending for therapy, you agree to be bound by its terms.
