What You Get

Highly Trained Therapists in Birmingham

Our Birmingham therapists bring strong clinical training, professional accreditation, and a genuine commitment to staying informed by current psychological thinking and research.

Holistic, Personalised Care

We see you as a whole person, not a set of symptoms. Your therapy may explore your emotions, relationships, body, habits, history, lifestyle, and hopes for the future, with optional wellbeing guidance where this may support your mental health.

A Calm, Comfortable Space

Our therapy rooms in Birmingham have been chosen with care, privacy, and comfort in mind. The aim is simple: to offer a space where you can breathe, speak honestly, and begin to feel less alone with what you carry.

Integrative & Human Therapy

Therapy should fit the person, not the other way round. We draw from a range of therapeutic approaches so your care can be thoughtful, flexible, and centred around you.

About Us

Hello and a warm welcome from Phinity Therapy, founded by Rehanna Kauser.
Phinity Therapy is a private counselling and psychotherapy clinic in Birmingham, created with one clear purpose: to place people at the heart of psychological care. We believe therapy should feel human, thoughtful, and deeply personal – not clinical in the cold sense, and not one-size-fits-all.
Our work is grounded in the therapeutic relationship: the real human connection that allows people to feel understood, supported, and able to explore what may have felt too difficult to face alone. Through integrative therapy, psychological expertise, and genuine care, we help clients make sense of their experiences, develop self-understanding, and move towards meaningful change.
This is what we mean by Hands With Heart: therapy that offers both skill and humanity: a steady compass in the storm of life, guiding you from where you are now towards where you want, and deserve, to be.
Your care is why we do what we do, and seeing you thrive is what inspires us.

Phinity Movement

For people seeking inner peace, self-understanding, and emotional freedom, Phinity Therapy offers a thoughtful path towards growth and change.

As a private therapy clinic in Birmingham, we are part of a wider movement towards mental health care that feels more human, more personal, and more responsive to the people it serves. We believe good therapy is not just about reducing symptoms, but about helping you understand yourself, your relationships, your patterns, and the life you want to move towards.

What sets Phinity apart is our commitment to holistic, personalised care. We bring together psychological expertise, integrative therapy, and genuine human connection, so your therapy can be shaped around you — not squeezed into a rigid model.

Bit by bit, we are working towards a future where counselling and psychotherapy feel less distant, less clinical, and more deeply connected to the person seeking support.

Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, or a sense of feeling stuck, we will work with you carefully and collaboratively — helping you move towards a more grounded, meaningful, and fulfilling life.

Begin with a free initial consultation and take the first step towards therapy that feels thoughtful, personal, and genuinely human.

Due to high demand, we currently offer one free initial consultation for prospective clients. Further consultations are charged at our usual rate.

How It Works

1. Get in Touch

You can call us on 0121 295 7373 or book your free initial consultation online. We’ll ask a little about what has brought you to therapy, what kind of support you are looking for, and whether you would prefer in-person therapy in Birmingham or online sessions.

2. Choose a Therapist Who Feels Right for You

You are welcome to book your free initial consultation with whichever therapist feels most suited to you. You may wish to consider their experience, therapeutic approach, areas of specialism, availability, or simply who you feel drawn to from their profile.
If, during your consultation, they feel another therapist may be a better fit for your needs, they will talk this through with you and make thoughtful recommendations so you can find the right support.

3. Begin Your Initial Assessment

Your first session is an initial assessment. This gives you and your therapist time to explore your current difficulties, your hopes for therapy, and what might be most helpful going forward. Together, you can begin shaping a thoughtful, personalised plan for your therapy.

FAQ

How Can Therapy Help?

Therapy offers a unique kind of space. It is a safe space in which you can speak with someone who is impartial, who will not judge you, who offers empathy and can help guide you by listening to what is said and what is unsaid. Clients often report just being able to talk and say things our loud as being helpful for processing and understanding.

Therapy however can go beyond this, it can facilitate the courage to explore areas that may otherwise feel threatening, but these can be the very areas that require confrontation because they may be influencing patterns of behaviour that you wish to change. So, in short, therapy can be a liberating experience, it can help you to feel safe enough to work through feelings and lead to insights and learning about yourself, and why you feel as you feel, and do as you do. This can lead to self-awareness, and choice, with the help of your therapist you can learn new ways, this may involve psychological strategies. In this way, therapy can have far reaching effect, improving your experience of your sense of self, your relationships, and your life and world.

How Do I know If I Need Therapy?

People are sometimes advised by people they know that therapy may benefit. They may be struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, or a ‘disorder’. Or it might be because you are feeling stuck in life, or apathetic about it. You may also be struggling with something that has happened, for example, the breakdown of a relationship, or death. Or it could be that you are finding it difficult to cope with trauma. Another reason people might choose therapy is to understand themselves better, for self-improvement.

There are many reasons why someone might decide to seek therapy. Essentially, if you are feeling that you could benefit from healing, growth, or change in your life, therapy may be the best decision you make.

What Is A Therapeutic Contract?

The therapeutic contract is our contract with you and outlines the agreement between you ‘the Client’ and Phinity Therapy. It does not obligate you to therapy, rather it clarifies what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you over the course of treatment, as well as our professional services and business policies. By signing the document, or attending for therapy, you agree to be bound by its terms.
